Omni Táxi Aéreo Awarded Onshore EMS contract

Rio de Janeiro, August 5, 2024 – The two-year contract with the client consists in providing daytime air-medical services for workers involved in the construction of the Central-West Integration Railway, which goes from Mara Rosa, Goiás, to Água Boa, Mato Grosso, covering 363 km of railroad. The operational air base is strategically located in Uruaçu, Goiás, to guarantee the best operational coverage.

To deliver on this mission, Omni Táxi Aéreo will deploy a Leonardo AW119 (Koala) helicopter, specially configured for EMS missions. The aircraft is set up to allow the patient to be isolated from the pilots’ cockpit and provides three seats for the medical team. This configuration enables a quick and efficient response to medical emergencies, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of the workers. This is especially relevant in a region where road access is very precarious, resulting in difficult and lengthy ground transportation, aggravated by the reduced options for quality hospitals along the construction route.

Omni Táxi Aéro is recognized for its offshore EMS operations to the Oil & Gas sector, where it operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, bringing its experience and high operational efficiency and safety standards to this new segment.

“We are very happy to bring the Aeromedical helicopter service to the onshore sector. This is part of our diversification strategy to reach new clients and markets, bringing the same high levels of quality, efficiency and operational availability with which we serve the Oil & Gas market in Brazil,” says Décio Galvão, Commercial Director of Omni Táxi Aéreo.
